All Property taxes (shown below) for the Town of Clymer are combined into one tax bill, which is mailed out approximately the first week in January of each year:

From January 7, 2025 thru April 1, 2025 property tax payments may be mailed to address below.

For your convenience, you may deposit payment with your bill stub in a locked drop box located on my back porch any time.
 
You may also pay your bill in person on Saturday, January 18, 2025 between the hours of 9am and noon at the Clymer Fire Hall.  Please enter through the Maple Ave door.
 
Please pay attention to this important Information:

• Receiver’s Stub is required with all payments. It is located at the bottom of the bill.
• All payments (cash and check) must be exact amount.
•  If you request a tax receipt, please return the entire bill and include a self-addressed stamped envelope. No self-addressed stamped envelope means no receipt will be mailed back to you.
• Tax payments are accepted as of the U.S. Mail Postmark Date (Section 925 of the Real Property Tax Law).

Important Dates
  The penalties are as follows:

• Thru February 7, 2025                      penalty free                                                      
• February 8 thru February 28, 2025   1.00% on original bill                                        
• March 1 thru April 1, 2025                   2.00% on original

 
After April 1, 2025, taxes must be paid to the Chautauqua County Tax Department, 3 North Erie St., Mayville, NY 14757, with a 5% penalty and interest at the rate of 1.00% per month from February 5th, such interest to be computed on the total amount of tax plus penalty.


IMPORTANT: If this property has been sold or otherwise disposed of, you are required to forward this Tax Bill to the new owner or return it to the Tax Collector, with the name and address of the new owner, if available.
