The Towns of Mina, French Creek, and Clymer are jointly hiring a Dog Control Officer (DCO). The DCO will work with each township on issues related to dogs, including: issuing appearance tickets, serving of summons, seizure and disposition of dogs, creation and retention of related records, and other related items. The successful candidate will have transportation, availability, and the ability to be contacted for dog-related issues. Reimbursement is $225 per month ($75 from each town), and $13.00 per hour plus mileage for time worked. Not required, but beneficial would be the ability to conduct a dog enumeration (census) for each town, which would be paid separately.
