Coronavirus Information and Planning - April 1, 2020*Updated*
As the Coronavirus continues to spread, many businesses, schools, and organizations are taking precautions to help protect the health and well-being of their employees, members, customers, and the community. The Town of Clymer is also taking this situation very seriously. We monitor developments closely and continue to reinforce plans that will allow us to maintain operations even under strained circumstances.
Per recommendations from Chautauqua County and New York State we have implemented the following:
The Town is reviewing our existing emergency plan and will be prepared to enact further measures if the need arises. We will notify the community of anything further via our website and the Town Clerk’s Facebook page.
We are actively encouraging sick employees to stay home and seek medical attention.
Until further notice, all town highway employees are deemed "non-essential", and will not be reporting to work on a daily basis. Should a highway emergency develop, crews will be able to respond, but only for emergencies. Please call 911 to report any highway emergencies.
Additionally, the *Town Clerk's office (now located at 8868 West Main St)*, Highway Building, and the Community Building will be closed to the public. This will not affect garbage collection, which will continue as usual.
Thank you for your patience during this time.
